Report: CBS News, Frank Luntz Cut Muslim-Americans’ U.S. Criticism From Focus Group

by JOHN NOLTE21 Dec 20150

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump hasalready exposed a 14 year-old DC Media  cover up involving numerous Muslim-American celebrations of the collapse of the World Trade Center on 9/11. Now, according to a new report, in their never-ending quest to disqualify Trump and make serial-liar Hillary Clinton president, CBS News has apparently been caught red-handed cutting footage from a focus group mediated by Establishment Republican Frank Luntz that shows American Muslims criticizing the United States:

The Intercept:

[I]n interviews with The Intercept, two Muslim Americans who took part in the group complained that CBS edited out parts of the discussion where they raised their own concerns — including critiques of U.S. militarism, surveillance, and entrapment.

They also said that Frank Luntz, the right-wing pollster who led the focus group, silenced members of the group when they criticized discriminatory U.S. government policies.

One  woman claimed that she brought up Luntz’s Jewishness:

For example, [Sarah] Harvard wrote that after Luntz asked the group whether they were Americans or Muslims first, she chose to demonstrate the offensive nature of the question by asking, “Well, are you an American or Jewish first?”

From the sound of it, Luntz was far from objective. One participant said:

He kept saying how he felt bad that no one listens to Muslims and how he wanted to give us an opportunity to talk to the general population. But how can that happen when we’re manipulatively edited to have us fit their own narrative and agenda?

According to Ms. Harvard’s own Facebook post, Luntz did not just edit out the inconvenient moments that didn’t fit his desired narrative, he went so far as to silence her when she tore into the American government as a racist institution that has “killed many Muslims.”

He also had silenced me and other participants who have routinely brought up the fact the government has enacted in state violence against the Muslim community — whether that may be through entrapment cases and surveillance programs — and our concerns about institutional racism. He shut me down when I said that President Obama and Hillary Clinton has killed many Muslims under the administration when we were discussing Trump, and ironically for a GOP strategist, he shut me down when I talked about how Democrats have enacted some of the most deadliest and discriminatory policies against Muslims. He also decided to stop letting me speak when I started talking about how Muslims should start focusing on combatting government policies rather than rushing to condemn terrorism or Islamophobia exclusively. They also cut out portions of where participants talked about media accountability when discussing Islam.

As you watch the segment below, it is painfully obvious that Luntz and CBS News had an agenda to show this group as one-dimensional patriots who are victims of discrimination, which is in and of itself a bigoted portrayal.

These are real people with real beliefs. Like all people, the American Muslim community is made up of complicated individuals with their own complicated view of the body politic. From the looks of it, rather than treat people like people, Luntz and CBS News instead chose to treat them as politically correct playthings that could be manipulated into political weapons against Donald Trump.

Note how at the end of the segment Luntz  closes by bashing Trump and talks at length about how he didn’t want to manipulate the group. And yet, by removing their criticism of America and the reference about his own Jewishness, that is exactly what he did.

There are few things more racist than patronizing condescension.

P.S. Obama National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes is the brother of CBS News president David Rhodes.

Shocking flyer order Jews to register in Eastern Ukraine

The latest news out of the Ukraine should shock and concern anyone familiar with world history. This morning, Sharona Schwartz, Middle East Correspondent for TheBlaze, posted the photo of a flyer handed out in Eastern Ukraine that called for all Jews over the age of 16 to “to register with separatists, list real estate and vehicles they own and pay a special tax, or face deportation, loss of citizenship and confiscation of their property.”
According to Ynet’s translation of the flyer from Russian to English, it says, “ID and passport are required to register your Jewish religion, religious documents of family members, as well as documents establishing the rights to all real estate property that belongs to you, including vehicles”.
The flyer has been attributed to Denis Pushilin, Chairman of the Donetsk People’s Republic, a pro-Russian militant group. Pushilin has denied any connection to the flier.
Secretary of State John Kerry condemned the flyer. He said, “And any of the people who engage in these kinds of activities, from whatever party or whatever ideology or whatever place they crawl out of, there is no place for that. And unanimously every party today joined in this condemnation of that kind of behavior.”
Schwartz briefed Glenn Beck on this story in Thursday’s morning meeting.
“Ukraine has a really ripe and troubled history with anti-Semitism,” Shwartz told Glenn, noting that the biggest massacres of the Jews during World War 2 happened in the Ukraine.
But the problem doesn’t just lie with the pro-Russian militants. Jews have encountered persecution from the other side of the conflict as well. Last year, TheBlaze reported that several Ukranian ultra-nationalists wore t-shirts with anti-Semitic slogans to a rally.
“Israel is now preparing to take in twice the number of immigrants from the Ukraine than they have in recent years,” Schwartz said.
“And so it begins,” Glenn said when he heard the news.

Are you the "Correct Race" ? Crystal Night 1938 Coming to America

“There is an op-ed in the Wall Street Journal that came out over the weekend that every American should see,” Glenn said on radio this morning. “I think Tom is right… He is a hero. He is a hero. Somebody needs to say it. It is the same seed.”
The letter, titled “Progressive Kristallnacht Coming?” reads:

This is a very dangerous drift in our American thinking. Kristallnacht was unthinkable in 1930; is its descendent “progressive” radicalism unthinkable now?

Biggest Lie of any President in 237 years.

RUSH: It's pathological. With Clinton it was (Clinton impression), "I never had sex with that woman, not a single time, never, and I never asked anybody to lie." And that then became a controversy over the definition of "is." Remember that? Depends on what "is" is. This is pathological. Obama is now saying he didn't say what he said. Obama is now trying, by the way, if I can do this, he's trying to implement the Limbaugh Theorem.  Full Story

Sick bias in Yahoo! and AP article against Israel

In case you have been living under a rock, Hamas in the Gaza Strip and Israelis have been firing rockets at each other in what appears to be an escalating fight that could soon be considered an all-out war, especially if ground fighting commences. While the following AP article by Ian Deitch and Ibrahim Barzak, featured on the front page of Yahoo.com is not the first example of anti-Semitic bias coming from liberal journalists, I just felt the need to point it out to you. Please read the article here.

This article left me with the false impression that the big bad bullies are purposefully avoiding diplomacy in order to use excessive and unprovoked force on a defenseless little group of civilians and other non-military targets. The authors made gratuitous use of the word "offensive" to drive home his point. This isn't an offensive as much as it is a response, but it wasn't until the sixth paragraph that it was pointed out:

"Israel launched the operation on Wednesday in what it said was an effort to end months of rocket fire out of the Hamas-ruled territory. It began the offensive with an unexpected airstrike that killed Hamas' powerful military chief, and since then has relentlessly targeted suspected rocket launchers and storage sites."

After this brief random act of journalism, the author quickly snapped back to liberal "victim" mode by mentioning the disparity between the dead and wounded of the Palestinians verses the Israelis, highlighting the civilian numbers.

How about this for warmongering: When Maj. Gen. Tal Russo, Israel's southern commander was "asked whether Israel is ready to send ground troops into Gaza, he said: 'Absolutely.'"

Words matter. This sentence sounds like Tal Russo is definitely going to invade, and trust me, the authors desperately hope you think so, to further the narrative of the "bullies" being warmongers. But he wasn't asked if he was going to invade. He was asked if he was READY to send troops. Even if he wasn't ready to invade he would have been obligated to say he was. This was a trick question in order to get the reader to believe something other than what was really meant.

Then here is the Big Whopper lie in the article:

"The White House said President Barack Obama was also in touch with the Egyptian and Turkish leaders. The U.S. has solidly backed Israel so far."

That is a boldface LIE. The truth is that the U.S. has been solidly backing Israel since the beginning all the way up until we elected a Commander-in-Chief that turned out to be clearly anti-Semitic in 2008. There has been a clear reversal of the above statement since Barack Obama took office with every action he has ever taken. Listen to Michael Savage talk about the last time Israel's Prime Minister had a chance to visit America:

Then the authors unwittingly give support to my belief that an Obama Administration led U.S. is NOT backing Israel by writing this"

"Speaking on Air Force One, deputy national security adviser Ben Rhodes said that the White House believes Israel "has the right to defend itself" against attack and that the Israelis will make their own decisions about their "military tactics and operations."

Translation: Israel, you are on your own.

To put an exclamation point on my belief that the U.S. sadly no longer backs Israel, the authors end the article with this paragraph:

"[Egypt's President] Morsi warned that a ground operation by Irael will have 'repercussions' across the region. 'All must realize the situation is different than before, and the people of the region now are different than before and the leaders are different than before,' he said at a joint press conference with Turkey's Islamist prime minister, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Erdogan, like Morsi, leads an Islamist government that has chilly diplomatic ties with Israel."

Translation: Neither George W. Bush or Mitt Romney can save you now.

I'm not really sure why these authors put the lie into this article. Maybe they are merely just mistaken? Considering the pro-Hamas bias in the article, I am left to conclude that by believing the U.S. has Israel's back, it makes them look even more like bullies than they are already made out to be. It could also be that since the authors are liberal and pro-Hamas, that they must also hate the U.S. and that if they subscribe to the old adage that an enemy of my enemy is my friend, then the reverse must be true. In other words, since Israel is the authors' enemy, and the U.S. is the authors' enemy, then Israel and the U.S. must still be friends. Sorry, but it doesn't work that way.
